Newbie here so please be kind!
My name is Tadgi and I recently relocated to PCB (Panama City Beach, FL) with my mom, Mary, and we will be full-time residents at LMWS (Latitude Margaritaville Watersound) somewhere around March 2024. She is widowed and I didn’t have anything holding me back so we decided to go for it. I want to do something with my time that involves our local LMWS/PCB community so I had a crazy idea to start a blog so here I am! Wish me luck because I’m going to need it!
Why are we here? Mom always wanted to move to Florida after retirement, she just didn’t know where, and she wasn’t comfortable doing it on her own. We were fortunate and had the opportunity to visit a few different areas of Florida over the past few years and finally settled on PCB. We both like the idea of a “not-so-hot” winter, and of course, LMWS. And the beaches are absolutely stunning but I know you know that already, right? We both hope to find our own set of friends while still hanging out together and looking after one another during our next chapter of life. We’re no spring chickens any more! Hold on…potty break. Just kidding!
Anyway, we moved here from Buffalo so bye-bye snow and hello sunshine! I have to admit I missed the changing of the leaves and the beautiful colors of fall this season but I just can’t handle the cold like I used to. And besides (you know what’s coming), you don’t have to shovel sunshine! I was in Buffalo almost 20 years and I have every intention of visiting when the opportunity presents itself. Western New York and the Buffalo area is beautiful and there are plenty of things to do and see. If you ever get the chance, I encourage you to visit. Don’t miss Niagara Falls if you do go!
Back to the reason I am here…the blog. I am creating this space to not only share some of my life but to collect tidbits from other people’s life experiences. We are all in different stages of our lives, and more than likely, have lost loved ones. Some of us are looking for connections to fill a void or maybe just to add a little pep to our step. I can’t be the only one so let’s do this thing together. Let’s connect, share life stories, and cut a rug to some good music! Let’s laugh until we cry (or pee our pants)!
I am slowly but surely getting things up and running here so you will continue to see some changes and re-arranging as I figure it all out. I am learning WordPress (software used to create the blog) as I go so please hang with me and we’ll get there. There are SO many things we can share and gather in this central location and I am willing to help make it happen. I don’t have any plans whatsoever to make this a subscription based site but I will gladly accept donations if you appreciate the content. More to come on that.
